A flag is the best first multi layer spray project there is. The shapes are simple, the colors are flat, and nobody squints at the finished wall wondering what it is. It is also the project where most people learn, the hard way, why layer alignment matters. Spray the red an eighth of an inch off the blue and the whole thing tilts into abstract art.
Flag stencil packs solve the alignment problem the same way print shops do: registration marks.
One sheet per color
Each pack is one laser cut sheet per color in the flag. The American flag pack is three sheets: a blue base, a red field, and the white stars and stripes. You tape the first sheet, spray your first color, swap in the next sheet, spray, and repeat. Simple flags are two sheets. Nothing in the pack needs to be cut, weeded or assembled.
Registration marks do the aligning
Every sheet in a pack has identical registration marks cut into its corners. When you tape up sheet one, you spray a quick dot of paint through each corner mark. When sheet two goes up, you line its corner marks over those dots and the entire layer lands exactly where it should. No measuring, no guessing, no tilted stripes. It is the same trick screen printers have used for a century, moved onto a wall.

What is in the rack
There are more than two dozen flag packs live in the store right now. The American, Texas and Puerto Rico packs lead the American side. Canada, Japan, Jamaica, Ireland, Scotland, Cuba and South Korea cover most requests we get, and the full set runs deeper than that.
Some flags share the exact same geometry and only differ in color, so those ship as combined packs. One France and Italy pack covers both tricolors, and one Netherlands and Germany pack covers both sets of horizontal bars. Same sheets, different cans.
Sizes and materials
Packs run from 12x8 inches up to 28x16 inches. The size is the full sheet, and the flag prints with a one inch border inside it. The small sizes suit doors, coolers and plywood signs. The 28x16 reads clearly across a street.
Card stock is the budget option and holds up for a few careful sprays per sheet. Plastic is mylar, which matters more on multi layer work than anywhere else: you can wipe each sheet clean while the next layer dries and reuse the pack for years. Where people actually paint these
The orders tell the story. Plywood signs for game day. Garage doors before the Fourth. Fence panels, cornhole boards, truck tailgates, gym walls. A flag is one of the few designs you can put on your own property that nobody argues with, and a stenciled one beats a printed banner because it does not fade, sag or blow away. Paint it once with mylar sheets and you can repaint it fresh every year with the same pack.
Keeping the layers crisp
- Let each color flash dry before the next sheet goes up. Five minutes saves the whole project.
- Spray thin. Heavy coats bleed under edges and bridge over the registration dots. Bleed is a pressure problem, not a stencil problem.
- Spray your registration dots with the first layer color so they disappear into the design, or place them on tape you peel at the end.
- Work light to your final color. Most flag packs are ordered so each layer covers the last cleanly.
